Geology Girl

(chorus)
Geology Girl, Geology Girl
Geology Girl, Geology Girl

Geology Girl can read a map
And with her Brunton, she'll tell you right where you're at
There'll be no losing her
But you can get lost in her eyes if she'll let you

(chorus)

Geology Girl sleeps under the stars
She's not afraid of all that creeps and crawls
She has a campfire to keep her warm
How I wish I were a campfire

(chorus)

Geology Girl has an Estwing rock hammer
Its made of forged and hardened steel
With it, she's one bad mamma jamma
Take it from me, don't make her mad

(chorus)

Geology Girl has a happy cup
She wouldn't tell us what was in it
But after seeing "Active Calisthenics"
We think that drive had some "happy" in it

(chorus)

Geology Girl swims the Colorado river
If you follow, you'll get stuck in the middle
Camp fire cook, and an overachiever
Take it from me, let her pack the vans

(chorus)

Where are you, Geology Girl?

The Technicolor Landscape of the Fertile Mind

Through the years the echo rings
Of parents the whole world round
"Time to clean up all your things"
Great work broken on the ground

We shall all be free some day
Of parental neatness sophistry
That so confuse work and play
To ruin this child's gadgetry

Somehow, time has grown us up
That fertile mind of echo's ring
For all the work we cleaned up
Somehow, kept imagining

Now, my child, with scattered things
Accuses me of all this too
"Time to clean up all your things,
And tomorrow, start anew."

The Morning

In the darkness of its place
The soul in tidiness appears
Past illusion in disgrace
We recognize its carnival mirrors

Our hearts lie and conterfeit
Fantasies of love long lasting
'Spite the kiss, the touch, the wit
The sands of time, ever passing

In the end, reluctantly
As inevitable as the start
Comes that end we knew would be
The mind's betrayal of our heart

Big

When you dream big, work hard
When you've given it your all, keep going
When you find answers, ask questions
When your questions are complex, find simplicity
When your answers are elegant, find beauty
When your world is beautiful, dream
When you dream, dream big

Yield

I am but a whisper on the wind
But I will not yield
I am but a flicker in the dark
But I will not yield
I am alone on an empty path
But I will not yield
Everyone, everything is against me
But I will not yield

They withold my due and mock me
Entropy craves to reap me
Alone and in darkness I am made to stand
But I will not yield

All around they make their assault
Their chorus incessant pounds on my mind,
"Give up, give in, we will make you like us"
But I will not yield

I am the whisper on the wind
And I will not yield
I am the light in the dark
And I will not yield
I am charting my own path
And I will not yield
Who will withstand me
When I will not yield
